At the end of the second World war, the region of Istria and Dalmatia signed a dramatic and troubled transition of the Italian twentieth century history. Big communities were forced to take the way of exile to Trieste and Italy, but also in America and Australia. The theatrical performance tells one of those stories and it becomes a pretext to light the memory of childhood and adolescence of older actors: the protagonists of that distant episode. On February 10, 1947, the Treaty of Paris gave to Yugoslavia Istria, Zara and Fiume. From 2004, February the 10th became the “Memory Day” in memory of the dead and Italian refugees. This work aims to contribute and to recovery the meaning and value of individual and collective memory.
