Viaggi nella parola is a series of thematic documentary interviews with some of the leading lights of Italian culture over the past thirty to forty years (Francesco Altan, Novella Cantarutti, Luciano Fabro, Massimo Gerardi and Claudio Magris). What unites the work of these artists and intellectuals is that each has used the concept of frontiers as a metaphor and used the crossing of disciplinary frontiers as a means of intellectual provocation; each considers the notion of a territory as a place without frontiers, a cultural meeting space for the exchange of ideas, a place for cultural and artistic production.
